How can engaging in an activity for 30mins, will increase happiness level.

There is a course I’ve crafted Finding the i in me. One of the activity In this is a doodle art. It is a 5 mins activity something new. This was appreciated a lot by the participants. That 5 mins they were not thinking anything but were involved in creating that art.

Activities are encouraged for happiness as mindfulness is an integral aspect for being Happi. When one engages in an activity they tend to forget the past and the future and live in present.

Why is this important. Humans are made to remember failures more than success, trauma more than happiness, hence, working on being happi is a constant act throughout our lives. There is a saying idle mind is devils workshop.

Basically, when someone is idle they tend to think of past miseries or downfalls and create the negative cloud and become sad or they think about the future and wonder what is in store and become anxious. In reality, nothing matters,

“ being present in the present is the best present one can give one self. “

Let me introduce to you one effective way of harnessing your mind to stay in the present. This is achieved by meditation. However, that needs a lot of guidance and practice. One of the easiest way is to engage in an activity. Let me explain.

Firstly, choose an activity of your choice something which can be done easily like drawing, coloring, stitching, walking and engage for 2 mins to start with. Initially, 2 mins itself will seem so long. Slowly increase the timing and 30mins will be achieved easily.

Even if you do 5 mins activity everyday that can refresh and reboot your system. Remember happiness is a journey not a destination.
